PALM OIL

Blog statement- palm oil

Here is what I learnt:

Palm oil is causing animals to lose their homes so that people can plant more palm oil trees, so they can have palm oil for products such as soap, ice cream, chips and a whole lot more. Palm oil is a type of seed that gets turned into palm oil for us humans to use as a daily resource. To plant palm trees, people are cutting down forest areas where animals live.

Here are some animals affected by palm oil plantations.

:Rhinoceros

:Elephant

We need to find ways to stop humans using palm oil so that we can keep our animals safe and full of food

Hi my name is Electra I am 12 years old and I go to Pompallier Catholic School. I am a Year 8 and I am the chairperson for the Special Character Team and a Pompallier disciple. I have been at Pompallier for 8 years, from starting at 5 years old. I am also in the house group Maria which is red. My current teacher is Mrs Ryken and she is an awesome teacher. Next year I will be attending Kaitaia College as a Year 9. Some of my favourite subjects in school are literacy and art. I also enjoy P.E.
